We are pleased to introduce a new update for Orbit, focused on stability improvements, enhanced user experience, and better multitasking capabilities.
This release refines several existing features, improves interface consistency, and introduces new capabilities across key modules such as Browser, Preview, Terminal, and Notes.
This version introduces new functionality designed to improve productivity and overall usability:
Picture-in-Picture (PiP) support across all features, allowing users to keep content visible while multitasking.
Custom window controls and headers support across multiple features, providing a more consistent and unified interface.
Process interruption and suspension support in Terminal, giving users greater control over running tasks.
Dynamic title handling with binding and placeholder support in Notes, enabling more flexible content management.
Graphics import and drag-and-drop support in Notes, improving workflows when working with visual content.
New setting allowing users to choose whether pressing the Escape key on floating panels and windows closes or minimizes them.
A number of fixes have been implemented to improve behavior and layout across modules:
Fixed an issue where fullscreen mode always displayed action buttons.
Fixed an issue with incorrect spacing of action buttons in fullscreen mode.
Fixed an issue where the browser PiP window did not properly track the position of the main window.
Fixed an issue where fake fullscreen mode did not properly manage aspect ratio and window frame adjustments.
Fixed an issue where the custom header did not work correctly after exiting fullscreen mode.
Fixed an issue where video previews were not properly sized or loaded.
Fixed an issue where image previews were not properly sized or loaded.
Fixed an issue where the file panel was not properly displayed.
Added support for interrupting and suspending processes.
Added support for dynamic title binding with placeholders.
Added support for importing graphics and drag-and-drop functionality.
Fixed an issue where focus did not return to the editor after opening a note.
Fixed an issue where the launcher window size was not properly adjusted and layout was not optimized in List view.
Fixed an issue where the drag handle was not properly updated and layout was not optimized in Dock and Radial views.
Fixed an issue where pressing the Escape key did not close some floating panels and windows.
Fixed an issue where the window manager opened the Video Trimmer instead of the selected feature.
Fixed an issue where the glass effect setting was not properly applied or refreshed for floating windows.
